Inspired by the people who earn their living on the streets of the Red District of Barcelona and in the Rue Saint-Denis in Paris, but also the work of photographer Joan Colom and director Billy Wilder in ‘Irma la Douce’ in the early 60s, Madame is a new collection of lamps designed by Oriol Llahona for Alma Light’s new catalog.
This smooth, paper clip like table lamp in lacquered steel is a big success of a young Croatian designer Filip Gordon Frank and a result of his collaboration with spHaus, the lamp manufacturer until recently. The lamp came to existence during the Superliquid summer workshop where Frank participated.
There are quite a few things out there that always come in handy when you’re in need of a quick stress relief, i.e. some kicking. But, you’d never kick a lamp, right? Maybe because it’s too darn hot or just maybe because you wouldn’t want to break it?
Sasso by Massimo Iosa Ghini has been inspired by the primitive and natural shapes of rocks smoothed by the water over the years. The milky white finish lights the room with a warm and enveloping light for a very unique and refined atmosphere.
