Janus, named after the Roman god of doors, doorways, beginnings and ends, is a chair that, just like the diety, has two faces. In the blink of an eye, the back folds onto the seat and this extraordinary chair becomes a stool with the lines of a sports car.

Jang’s work and his focus on angles and surfaces are greatly influenced by his current surroundings, Los Angeles, its urban landscape and its car-centric culture. Expect to see more of the young Korean designer soon, right here on Minimalismi.
