The breathtaking play of light and darkness that flows through the House of Depth, located in Shiga, Japan and designed by FORM/Kouichi Kimura Architects, left us speechless. Follow the MORE link to see why.

Built on a 10 meters wide and 23 meters deep lot, the house has its exterior wrapped in a black façade. The outter darkness gets interrupted only by several light details, but once you enter the house it gets scattered and lightness prevails. Still, its presence never diminishes entirely as some walls and even entire rooms, such as the bathroom, remain trapped in its concealed elegance. [via]
