Dupli.Casa by J. Mayer H. Architects is a private dream house located near Ludwigsburg, Germany, above the old town of Marbach and the German national literature archive on the other side of the Neckar valley.

Having its geometry based on the house that was previously located on the same site (originally built in 1984) and that has been extended and modified on a number of occasions in its history, the new residence, occupying 569 m², has gone through vertical duplication and rotation, remembering its past and keeping the spirit of “family archeology”.

Smooth, fluid, floating and never-ending whiteness of Dupli.Casa’s exterior flows into the rim surrounding the house, giving the impression of being spilled onto the lawn.
