The Atlas outdoor bench Giorgio Biscaro designed for Slide could be a solution to the problem many European smokers have been faced with since most of the EU countries forbid smoking inside clubs, bars and restaurants. No, not that kind of problem.
Apparently, the Smokers Act led to people having to go out on the street and look for the closest seat, most often a nearby car. That’s why the original Atlas was much taller, having the same height as the front part of an average European car. Looking for a more commercial solution, Giorgio Biscaro came up with the current version, made of rotomolded polyethylene and available in a wide range of colors.
