Another Serbian youngster with his studio based in Belgrade and Moscow surprised us with a brilliant chair design named simply A Chair. Otako, Otasevic’s studio, works primarily in Serbia and Russia, but offers the entire spectrum of design and building services for projects of any size and complexity. (more…)

SIDM09: Wooden textiles by Elisa Strozyk

The outer layer of Elisa Strozyk’s textiles is made of tiny triangular pieces of wood. Any of the intended uses raises the question of the durability of the material, though, as they are all subject to a considerable amount of wear and tear. Nevertheless, we still like the concept. (more…)
