Compactdecks by Compactlab

Compactlab, a Swiss creative studio, active in the fields of sound and visual design, presents Compactdecks, a design table integrating three vinyl record turntables. Designed by Oliver Rubli, this concept for all the true vinyl lovers features a pair of speakers, too. The availability, though, is rather limited – only ten of these will ever get to see the light of day (or night, for that matter). Continue reading “Compactdecks by Compactlab” »
This low table, designed by Alexander Gaillard and manufactured by Roche Bobois, has two additional table surfaces attached to a common axis. By rotating the two bottom panels, one can expand the usable table space to a full circle or any of the other possible arrangements.
Another lovely design just came in from o4i. This time, it’s an all-plywood, multi-purpose stacking char. A result of an intense collaboration with Chair Baltic, a large Latvian manufacturer and a division of one of Europe’s leading molded plywood producers, ZESTY is everything a plywood chair needs to be: sleek and incredibly light, yet strong.
Diagonal, designed and develooped by the Swedish design studio o4i and manfucatured, marketed and sold by a Finish office manufacturer, Martela, is a combination of a sofa and a space divider for indoor public areas. Designed to meet the needs of modern work spaces and wawiting areas in demand of flexibility and privacy, it consists of two basic elements: a padded seat and a screen which can be placed as desired to provide visual and acoustic privacy.
Who says rocking chairs are for old people? The fluid (and rocking) shape of this awesome chair is achieved through a single piece fiberglass construction with a glossy finish on the bottom side and a layer of soft natural felt wraps on the outer part. Moreover, apart from making your behind feel more comfortable, the felt layer also makes rocking quiter and safer, while providing protection for your floors.
