Diagonal, designed and develooped by the Swedish design studio o4i and manfucatured, marketed and sold by a Finish office manufacturer, Martela, is a combination of a sofa and a space divider for indoor public areas. Designed to meet the needs of modern work spaces and wawiting areas in demand of flexibility and privacy, it consists of two basic elements: a padded seat and a screen which can be placed as desired to provide visual and acoustic privacy.
Furthermore, one can combine a number of modules in almost endless ways, creating a temporary sanctuary for those in need of some private time in places such as malls, airports or universities.
